Tact Switches

A tact switch is a switch whose purpose is to allow or interrupt the flow of electrical current. The inner workings of a tact switch mean that when the button is pressed, the internal contacts come together, momentarily, allowing current to flow through the circuit. When the button is released, the contacts separate again, interrupting the flow of current.  Most of the time, tact switches are usually made of plastic or metal.
