SAW filters and resonators

An electronic filter discriminates a certain frequency of an electrical signal, being able to modify its amplitude as well as its phase. There are different types of filters: Passive&Active, Analog&Digital; Discrete&Continuous; Finite&Infinite impulse response; in Y depending on the frequency response.

There is anothother type of filter such as SAW (surface acoustic waves) devices for the  GHz (gigahertz) requency range for applications such as smartphones.

The acoustic wave and energy propagate along a single “surface” of the substrate.

SAW devices are viable up to about 2 GHz;

They provide clear and precise filtering.

Both single-port SAW and dual-port SAW resonators are available.
